Catch and release

Every fish you catch must be carefully returned to the water. The only exception is the brown bullhead (known locally as byczek): it must not be returned to the water – you have to take it with you.

Fish species

Carp, zander, grass carp, tench, pike, bream, roach, brown bullhead, chub, asp and perch.

Rules

  • Up to 2 rods and a landing net per person.
  • You can fish from anywhere except the beaches and swimming areas.
  • Permitted methods: float fishing, ledgering (including feeder fishing), spinning and carp fishing.
  • You may fish from your own boat or inflatable; there is a slipway fee, payable on site.
  • You do not need a Polish fishing licence – your angler ticket (Bilet Wędkarza) is your permit.

Not allowed

  • Keepnets
  • Groundbait or pellets containing fishmeal
  • Dry (unsoaked) grain
  • Driving beyond the designated car parks
  • Taking fish away from the fishery (except brown bullhead)

Staff may inspect your fishing gear, as well as buckets, bags and backpacks when you leave.
